Hi, let me introduce myself....
Back in Feb 2008 I was obese, pre-diabetic and 'allergic' to exercise. After a huge journey of personal discovery -which included being introduced to a PT (Tarsh Guy) and actually beginning to like exercise - I have dropped 50kg, got fit and strong and in Nov 08 won the overall best female in the Catch Fitness 20 Week Body and Lifestyle Competition.
In September 2009 I competed in the 2009 Spring Challenge (an All Girl Adventure Race) which involved mountain biking, hiking, and white water rafting around St Arnaud. I also enjoy trying different activities - including pole fitness, trapeze class, dragon boating, off-road duathlon, rogaining, and just taking to the port hills with some good walking shoes and an enthusiastic labrador.
I have now undergone the journey from client to REPs registered personal trainer (with a Certificate in Fitness from CPIT) and have a unique understanding of how it feels to be unfit / overweight / have health issues related to lifestyle - and the steps needed to instil change and restore health and an enthusiasm for a full, active life.
As my studio was a casualty of the 7.1 earthquake on 4 September 2010, I am currently trying to find the perfect studio for my clients. In the meantime, I am operating on a mobile PT basis, so I will come to your home or office, or meet you at a park. I guarantee you don't need fancy equipment to have a fantastic, fun workout and get the results you want.
In November 2010, less than a year after graduating, I was delighted to be named winner, HQH - Up and Coming Personal Trainer of the Year, Fitness New Zealand Awards.
